First5 Mendocino

The Gardens Project of NCO is supported by a generous grant from First5 Mendocino.  The grant provides for establishing the  Gardens Network in order to increase the amount of fresh, nutritious produce available to children from 0-5 years old and their families.

The Community Foundation of Mendocino County

The Community Foundation of Mendocino County has supported the development of four of the new gardens in the Community Gardens Network:  Two low income resident gardens of the Rural Communities Housing and Development Corp. (RCHDC) and two Head Start Family Gardens of the Head Start Child Development Program of NCO.  The foundations generous Community Enrichment Grant laid the foundation for the purchasing of essential infrastructure to make the gardens sustainable.

The Ukiah Natural Foods Co-op

Many of the Gardens of the Community Gardens Network are supported by a generous community grant of the Ukiah Natural Foods Coop.  Their support is essential in obtaining materials to develop and enhance the gardens.
